Police Porsches & Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG Parade for Qatar National Day

A country with more supercars than sense celebrates its unity by taking to the streets in, well, supercars.
The 18th of December is an important day in Qatar's illustrious history, as on this day in 1878, Shaikh Jasim, founder of the State of Qatar, succeeded his father, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Thani, and led the country towards unity. This day is thus marked by Qataris as the country's National Day and as part of the celebrations, members of the uber-nouveau riche nation take to the desert streets to showcase their happiness (aka wealth) by parading in their luxurious toys while proudly waving national flags.
In addition to a colorful set of G55 AMG models driven by the noble natives, the vehicles used by the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF) get in on the act, which include Porsche Cayennes and Panameras, BMW motorbikes and Toyota Land Cruisers.

Given the average Joe here probably has a few hundred horsepower at their disposal, the authorities must be suitably equipped and their supercar fleet no doubt helps them to keep the speed demon locals in check.
