Skoda Citigo 5-Door Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

Following the three-door version, Skoda has revealed the almost-identical five-door city car. 

The first image of Skoda's five-door Citigo variant has been released. Essentially a VW up! but with a better name, the car will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show sitting alongside its city car twin.As per the three-door, 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engines will be available for the five-door in power steps of 59 and 74hp, while an eco-friendly Green Tec variant has been confirmed boasting an average fuel consumption of 68.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 96g/km.
Both versions will hit European showrooms in May following their reveal in Geneva; pricing information is sure to come to light nearer the time of their release.

Toyota Aygo Facelift Completes Trio of City Cars

Following Citroen’s latest C1 and Peugeot’s updated 107, Toyota has released details about their facelifted Aygo.

With the Aygo, Toyota is starring in the third and final act of the Franco-Japanese city car restyling show, before new generations take center stage next year and in 2014.Updates are limited to a refreshed fascia featuring a trapezoidal air intake, minimalist grille set and LED daytime running lights, so describing the Aygo as Yaris' little sister is fair comment. New alloys and hubcaps are planned as is new upholstery and a more sophisticated audio system.
Under the hood a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine manages 66mpg and emits just 99g/km of CO2.Set to be unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show this week, the Aygo will be priced at 7,990 Euros. A limited edition, namely a Vibrant Metallic Orange Launch Edition, is also set to launch adorned with a distinctive orange paintjob, aluminum wheels and a spattering of accessories and logos.

2012 Peugeot 107 is Still Tops in Urban Driving

Not wanting to mess too much with success, Peugeot's updated 107 remains a top pick for city driving. 

French automaker Peugeot has just released official details and photos of their newly restyled 107 small hatchback. Yes, it's small, but the 107 has been a very popular and successful model for Peugeot, so it was important to make sure it remained fully competitive in its class.The exterior has been enhanced, specifically with the new corporate front-end styling. This features a deeper lower front panel with space for the front fog lights. There's also daytime LED running lights and a redesigned front bumper.
In addition, the interior has received various upgrades including the Peugeot Connect Bluetooth and USB connectivity.Most importantly, as the 107 is meant to be the ideal European city car, Peugeot has managed to reduce C02 emissions and improve fuel economy at 66 mpg. Power comes from a three-cylinder gasoline engine with 68hp and 70lb-ft of torque. It's still available as either a three or five-door. As usual, pricing is extremely reasonable, starting at just £7,995.With over 650,000 107s having been built since 2005, we expect for Peugeot's latest to have even more success.
