Carlsson 2012 Smart Fortwo

Carlsson creates a terrific new Smart Fortwo.

Carlsson has made a habit out of tuning Smart cars. Their latest aftermarket program for the 2012 Smart Fortwo is an example of how practice makes perfect, as it's hard to see how much better a Smart Fortwo could look.

Starting with the exterior, Carlsson gave it an aerodynamic boost with plenty of lightweight pieces and a slick gray on white finish. It sits on a set of 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The tuners don't end their program there, however, as they have also created a solid performance kit to boost the minicar's power up a bit.

The CK10 performance kit involves an ECU revamp and a sports air filter. Power output is now measured at 112hp and 117 lb-ft of torque. Impressive numbers for a small city car.No pricing information has been released as of yet for the Carlsson Smart Fortwo city car.

Carlsson Unveils Their Seriously Red and White Mercedes-Benz CK63 RS

Carlsson has a red-white dream, and there is nothing to be ashamed about.

Carlsson has just released the first pictures of their aftermarket program for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG.They call it the "red and white dream," and after taking a look at the pictures, you can tell that description is absolutely accurate.The Mercedes sedan didn't necessarily need the tuning firm's help, as the stock CLS 63 AMG runs on a powerful twin-turbo V8 with an output of 557hp.

After Carlsson added their shot-peened exhaust system with metal catalysts (and we are sure more tweaks that they haven't told us about yet), the sedan cranks out a serious 652hp. Torque has been ratcheted up from 590 lb-ft to an impressive 737 lb-ft.As far as performance goes, the sedan hits 60mph from rest in 4.1 seconds, down from the stock's 4.3 seconds.Carlsson's body kit for the Merc is almost as impressive. It features plenty of aerodynamic pieces, such as carbon fiber front and rear spoilers, integrated rear diffuser and lip spoilers.It is finished in "Diamond White Metallic" paint and sits on a set of classy 20-inch Carlsson lightweight wheels. The front-end is lowered by 30mm for an even more aggressive look.Red might not be your thing, but the interior looks terrific color aside. The "Santa Red" Nappa Exclusive leather is fitted everywhere, from the seats to the trunk to the dash and steering wheel. It has solid contrasting "white ornamental seams."No pricing information has been released as of yet for the Carlsson CK63 RS edition sedan.

Mercedes ML350 Bluetec by Carlsson

The SUV has been given a subtle tuning package improving all areas of performance. 

Last seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show with their take on the CLS 63 AMG, German tuners Carlsson is back with a tuning package for the new generation of ML's.Exterior refinements include a new set of 22-inch rims, chrome bumpers and a new stainless-steel exhaust system, the interior boasts leather and Alcantara trim, aluminum pedals and Carlsson-labeled sills, and the suspension has been modified so that the ML350 now has a closer relationship with the tarmac.
As a result of performance modifications, ML350 Bluetec by Carlsson delivers 258hp and 457lb-ft of torque. No other specs, including price and date of availability, have yet to be released.
