Mercedes-Benz E-Class by Piecha Design

Styling program for the Coupe and Cabrio marks the tuner’s 30th anniversary. To celebrate 30 years in the business, German tuner Piecha Design has announced a special styling program for the E-Class Coupe and Cabrio. An all-new aerodynamic kit generates more downforce and affords the car more aggressive, muscular styling. An add-on RS spoiler flap reduces lift at the front axle, while a new LED illumination system boasts four LED units on each side. At the rear, a new RS three-piece spoiler and diffuser with long underbody fins have been added.
A quadro sports exhaust system is also offered with a choice of dual or quad exhaust tips.Featured wheels are 19-inch MP1 Monoblock rims, with DP2 Phantom full drop center alloys coming as an alternative. Ride height can be lowered by 30mm via an upgraded suspension, and 24-40mm hub spacers accentuate the wheel fitment.Piecha Design also offers a Power Convertor CS-RC for non-AMG E-Class models in order to improve throttle response, improve shift times, and reduce acceleration times.
Cabriolet owners can order a more responsive comfort vario roof module, which comes with a one-touch operation and enables users to deploy the roof at speeds of up to 29mph.The upgrade program is available now and can be ordered individually or as a whole package. Mansory-Tuned Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster Riding on HRE Wheels

HRE Wheels has released their latest pair of shoes, modeled by a Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster.
HRE Wheels has found the perfect model to show off their latest set of wheels - the
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The venerable roadster seen here has been tuned by Mansory and features their 'Soft Kit,' which is fitting since the German tuners are known for their outlandish aftermarket programs and HRE clearly wants the attention drawn to their latest set of wheels. The modular three-piece 794RS rims by HRE are ultra-light thanks to 6061-T6 forged aluminum.
The material is aerospace quality, meaning that you won't see these gray and silver finished wheels very often when you cruise around in your customized SLS AMG Roadster.
Speaking of the SLS AMG Roadster, the outfit from Brand, Germany, has outfitted the Mercedes model with a bodykit made out of carbon fiber. It includes a spoiler lip on the stock front bumper, new hood fitted with gills, aerodynamic side skirts and a rear lip spoiler with optimized diffuser.
Check out the 'Soft Kit' bodywork from Mansory on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster and the 794RS wheels by HRE and let us know what you think about this subtle combination.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Getting Major Mid-Cycle Refresh

New technologies, an extensive reskin and a new turbocharged V8 are highlights of the mid-cycle facelift.
While the C-Class sells in big numbers and the S-Class earns the marque big bucks, no other model sits closer to the heart of the brand than the E-Class, appealing to both new and existing customers in equal measure. And for the 2013MY, most of the overly decorative styling cues have been eliminated, with quad headlamps replaced by new single-piece multi-functional headlamp units, while numerous new technologies have also been adopted.
Mercedes-Benz will begin its "Real Design Revolution" in 2014 with the next-gen C-Class and all-new S-Class coupe, while the E-Class sedan is set to go on sale in Europe next spring, the wagon to follow in the summer and the AMG and 4Matic AWD editions to complete the lineup in the fall.A design overhaul includes shedding the rear side panels, quad headlamps and daytime running lights. In comes a brand-new front end, restyled rear side panels and a modified rear view. The only elements carried over are the roof, front doors and windows. The rest will be contemporary and less contrived ensuring the 2014 E-Class regains its elegance. In terms of new technology, the E-Class will have an array of cameras, lenses and sensors to feed the numerous advanced driver assistance systems. These include an improved night vision assistant; a dynamic light assistant, which uses multidirectional LEDs to avoid blinding oncoming traffic; intelligence lane assist; a congestion assistant, which allows drivers to follow the car in front at speeds up to 40mph; a revised magnetic ride control system; an extended head-up display with improved, multicolor graphics; and Car-to-X communication, which warns of hazardous road conditions and approaching emergency vehicles.
As for the powertrains, the only V8 to survive the 2014 facelift is the 537hp 5.5-liter engine for the E63 AMG. The E500 and E550 get a new turbocharged 4.6-liter unit, good for 435hp and 516lb-ft of torque. In order to keep up with the 300hp BMW 535i and 310hp Audi A6 3.0T, Mercedes has boosted the power of the E350's 3.5-liter V6 from 302 to 333hp.For the European market, the E200 gets a Renault-sourced 156hp 1.6-liter engine, which is expected to propagate across Mercedes, Nissan, Renault and Infiniti lineups. On the diesel front, the E300 CDI has been cut, while the E200 CDI, E220 CDI, E250 CDI and E350 CDI (better known stateside as the E350 BlueTec) remain.

Mercedes-Benz SL500 by Wheelsandmore

An understated tuning program has left the roadster with a boost in power and a refined new look.
Hot on the heels of the tuning package for the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, Wheelsandmore has delivered a refined program for the SL500 R231 roadster. The most striking feature is the finish to the bodywork thanks to an aluminum-silver-gray film that gives the SL roadster an air of exclusivity and a stealth-like appearance. Next up, the tuner added the maximum possible wheel sizes for the 6Sporz2 rim. The 20-inch alloys are available in nearly every color and surface finish combination imaginable.
Pictured is a matt black wheel center combined with stainless steel outer trims.A fully adjustable lowered suspension module named LowMaXX has been fitted, which shuts down at 44mph to preserve comfort and safety.Optimizing the ECU has improved performance of the R231 providing an additional 70hp and 74lb-ft of torque, giving it figures of 505hp and 590lb-ft.Wheelsandmore are currently developing exhaust systems and air filter components which should further enhance performance.

Mercedes SL Class Loaded with Electronic Wizardry

The Mercedes-Benz SL Fifth Generation: R 230 (2001-2012).
The fifth generation SL was unveiled in July 2001, presenting its unique variant of the automaker's then double-rounded-headlamp configuration theme. The transverse stripes were increased in size and reduced to three. However, the most notable exterior design change was the new bulbous roof, as opposed to the angular build of the previous generation. It accentuated the elongated hood along with the short and compact trunk and decorated the car with an energetic look.
The interior design was also changed as the cluster of three gauges was replaced with two separate round gauges.
The SL 500, with an output of 306hp, was the first model to arrive on the market. It was later joined by the SL 55 AMG with a supercharged V8 engine and 476hp. In 2002, the SL 350 featuring a 3.7-liter V6 with 245hp engine followed. And in January 2003 Mercedes-Benz finally introduced the 600 SL with the powerful 500hp 5.5-litre V12 biturbo engine as their new flagship model. The standard equipment included leather-upholstered seats plus a memory function for the electric seat and steering wheel adjustment.
Other standard features included a multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, and stereo car radio. As optional extras, innovative assistance systems like the DISTRONIC proximity control, the automatic emergency call system TELEAID, the control and display system COMAND or the electronic tire pressure monitoring system were available.A facelift was done for 2008. From the side view the air intakes in the wings are prominent (though there were also similar air intakes in the previous model), as they were a typical feature of the first 300 SL. The headlamps became less prominent and better integrated into the body work.
The hood was also beautifully shaped with two elongated bulges. The steeply raked windscreen emphasises the sports car character and accentuates the low, wedge-shaped silhouette. Unlike its predecessors, the R 230-Series SL always carried its hardtop build around a vario-roof system. At the push of a button the roof opens or closes in a 16-second process. An extremely complex swivelling mechanism ensures that the three roof components disappear into the upper part of the trunk.

Editor's Note: This was the final portion of our featured Mercedes-Benz SL series. We hope everyone enjoyed it.
