New Citroen DS4 Racing Leaked Ahead of Geneva Debut

Courtesy of our friends in the East, these leaked photos reveal how the DS4 R will follow in the DS3 R’s footsteps. 

An Eastern European website somehow managed to get hold of these official pictures of the Citroen DS4 R, scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.Apart from knowing that the 'R' stands for Racing, nothing official about the car has yet to be revealed.A front grille decorated in carbon-fiber suggests the car is more show than production in nature, but we'll have to wait and see.
A modified front bumper and muscular, elegant bodywork mimics the design language of the DS3 Racing, as does the large alloys, side skirts, a roof spoiler and new rear bumper atop a pair of tail pipes and central diffuser.Hidden rear-door handles gives the five-door DS4 R a three-door profile, but in terms of its performance the car should be powered by the 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged unit that was developed by PSA Peugeot-Citroen and BMW Group.More concrete information should follow this leak, if not Citroen will be unveiling all in Geneva.

Keeping it Quirky: Updated 2012 Citroen C1 Unveiled

The C1 is set for a final round of revisions before the all-new C1 launches in 2013.

The facelifted 2012 Citroen C1 will be on show this week at the Brussels Motor Show. The C1 1.0i's 67hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine has been tweaked to reduce CO2 emissions from 103 to 99b/km and increased fuel economy from 62.8 to 65.7mpg, when equipped with a manual. This makes this version exempt from the London Congestion Charge. An Electronic Gearbox System will also be available, complete with steering-mounted paddle controls to enhance handling and driving pleasure.
Such benefits are countered by a reduced economy of 62.8mpg and increased CO2 emissions of 104g/km.A new front bumper, shorter hood, LED daytime running lights and new 14-inch alloys make up the styling mods. EGS models will boast redesigned leather steering wheels, while manual gearbox versions will benefit from a revised gearstick. Citroen has also revised the shock absorbers and changed the power-steering settings for enhanced ride comfort and low-speed agility.The facelifted C1 should be arriving in the UK in April, although full specs and pricing have yet to be finalized.

Citroen C3 Picasso Code Special Edition

A new special edition for the C3 Picasso has been released to muted fanfare. 

The French automaker has announced a new version of their award-winning C3 Picasso named the Code, which replaces the Blackcherry edition.Based on the HDi 90 manual VTR+ version, the C3 Picasso Code Special Edition comes with new equipment to augment the already-ample set of standard features such as air-conditioning, cruise control, curtain airbags and Bluetooth & USB connectivity.
The extras include 17-inch Polar White or Cherry Red alloys, chrome lower bumper inserts, black handles with chrome inserts, black painted bumpers, longitudinal roof bars and shiny black vent surrounds.Available in four colors, namely Polar White, Cherry Red, Belle Ile Blue and Thorium Grey, the Citroen C3 Picasso Code Special Edition is priced at £15,695, making it just £300 more than the version it's based on and a worthwhile investment.

Citroen C3 Black and White Editions aka Micra Shiro and Kuro

Citroen has released photos of two new special editions of the C3 hatchback.

Citroen released the first photos of two new special edition C3 hatchbacks last Friday. The creatively-titled hatches, dubbed the C3 Black and C3 White (aka the Micra Shiro and Kuro in Japanese), are subtle special editions based on the 1.4i VT versions of the C3.Both models are equipped with an efficient 1.4-liter gasoline engine, returning numbers of 47.1mpg and putting out 139g/km of CO2. They both feature air-conditioning, variable power assisted steering and a Gear Efficiency Indicator.
The C3 White is finished in Polar White and runs a cool £11,990, while the C3 Black is covered in Obsidian Black metallic paint and costs £12,430. They both sit on a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.They are both set for launch on January 1st, 2012, and will be available for order for the duration of next year.
