Courtesy of our friends in the East, these leaked photos reveal how the DS4 R will follow in the DS3 R’s footsteps.
An Eastern European website somehow managed to get hold of these official pictures of the Citroen DS4 R, scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.Apart from knowing that the 'R' stands for Racing, nothing official about the car has yet to be revealed.A front grille decorated in carbon-fiber suggests the car is more show than production in nature, but we'll have to wait and see. A modified front bumper and muscular, elegant bodywork mimics the design language of the DS3 Racing, as does the large alloys, side skirts, a roof spoiler and new rear bumper atop a pair of tail pipes and central diffuser.Hidden rear-door handles gives the five-door DS4 R a three-door profile, but in terms of its performance the car should be powered by the 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged unit that was developed by PSA Peugeot-Citroen and BMW Group.More concrete information should follow this leak, if not Citroen will be unveiling all in Geneva.
