
The most powerful Astra to date will be launched at the Geneva Motor Show, along with the new Mokka SUV and RAD e-concept bike.
Opel will be unveiling its new Astra OPC at the Geneva Motor Show. As a high-performance version of the GTC, the new OPC is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injection four-pot that produces 276hp and 295lb-ft of torque.With a top speed of 155mph this makes it the fastest and most powerful Astra ever.As the OPC remains FWD the extra power is dealt with via a new mechanical limited slip differential in conjunction with the GTC's HiPerStrut technology. The FlexRide system features a sport button and a new 'VXR' button, both of which will stiffen the ride and sharpen throttle response.Inside, both front seats use a cutting-edge weight-saving material and have a lower seating position and up to 18 different settings.At Geneva, Opel will also be unveiling the new Mokka SUV (the Buick Encore's twin) and its RAD e concept, a futuristic e-bike that the automaker claims responds to customers' needs to be mobile when car usage is restricted or no longer possible.
