One-Of-A-Kind Pininfarina Hyperion Now For Sale in Abu Dhabi

The one-off Pininfarina was originally bought for $6m; who knows how much it will go for in the Middle East.
Collector and Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe owner Roland Hall commissioned Pininfarina to build the Hyperion back in 2008, instructing them to create a custom-built car that would evoke the appeal of the extravagant cars of the 1930s.In meeting the challenge, Jason Castriota (of former Saab fame) and Pininfarina's Special Projects division came up with this stunning long hood design and constructed an aluminum spaceframe in which they fitted a 6.7-liter V12 engine rated at 453hp and 531lb-ft of torque.
There's no mistaking the Rolls Royce front grille, which has been given a more aerodynamic look as well as recessed Bi xenon headlights and LED technology. The Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe's interior has been left largely untouched, although the rear seats were removed and the driving position pushed back over 15 inches. The rest of the body is made of carbon-fiber save for the solid wood doors.Hall apparently sold the Hyperion, named after one of the Titans of Greek mythology, for around $6 million just a year after buying it.And now it has surfaced at an Abu Dhabi dealership where it is listed for sale at an undisclosed price. It seems that even spectacular one-off creations can become boring for those with too much money then sense.

Whoa, Dragons Man - Rolls-Royce Year of Edition EWB Arrives in Cali

The Rolls-Royce Ghost Year of the Dragon Edition EWB has arrived in California.
Last year, Rolls-Royce released a Phantom special edition in honor of the Year of the Dragon, celebrated in China. The Asia-only special edition featured some terrific badging and a slick crimson interior color complete with golden dragon emblems and stitching throughout the model. It won many admirers and now a Californian Rolls-Royce dealer has commissioned several EWB Ghosts built in the same style for a limited run out west.
Rusnak Rolls-Royce of Pasadena ordered these luxurious Ghost models in extended-wheel-base form and they look terrific with all the perks and accoutrements found in the Phantom. The Phantom Year of the Dragon Edition sold out in less than two months, so we expect these Ghosts to go even faster as only a few units will be made available.

The Golden Royal Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

Nothing like a golden Rolls-Royce from Saudi Arabia.
Hosam Al-Ghamdi has captured one of the prettiest Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupes we have ever seen. Gold might not be your thing, but this special order, customized exterior/interior model does the color right. Al-Ghamdi calls this the "Golden Royal," and after one look you can see why.The fully-bespoke Rolls is currently on display at the Ibn Mansi Showroom in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It is up for sale, so if your pockets are flush with dough this Rolls-Royce is most definitely a go.Thanks to Hosam for the great photos!

Junction Produce Goes Overboard on the Rolls-Royce Phantom

The Hellaflush Japan Show bore witness to a Phantom with a little too much VIP treatment.
In Japan, they have a phrase for overdone body kits that appear to give a car the ultimate mix of both luxury and elegance - "VIP Style." This, however, is referred to as that but with one caveat: it just isn't quite right.Junction Produce brought their version of the Rolls-Royce Phantom to the Hellaflush Japan Show and what SpeedHunters captured on camera was more of a ghoul than a handsome Phantom.
The Rolls was sporting a clunky body kit affixed with LED daytime running lights that don't match the subtle elegance of the British luxury car. Even the forced addition of a set of 24-inch wheels seems to take the Phantom towards a different direction than for what it was intended. The tuners say they paid extremely close attention to detail when creating their Phantom, however it appears to be that they focused on the wrong details. An exhaust kit turns out to be the only improvement made on the business end of the Rolls-Royce.

Rolls-Royce 102EX Electric Concept Completes World Tour

Rolls-Royce has their precious EV Concept back home after its epic world tour.
Following the completion of its global test program, the Rolls-Royce 102EX (Phantom Experimental Electric) has returned to the home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in England's West Sussex. The dual purpose of the world tour was to see how the EV concept would deal with different weather conditions across the globe, and to gauge the public's reaction to it. While the British brand conducts its market study which they expect to publish in the first quarter of 2012, we can enjoy these wonderful pictures of the car.
From New York and Paris to Singapore and Beijing, the EV Concept powered its way around the world using its two electric motors and a single-speed transmission that combine to create 389hp and 590lb-ft of torque. Top speed stands at 99mph and it goes from standstill to 60mph in less than 8 seconds.

Rolls-Royce Phantom ‘Year of the Dragon’ Bespoke Package for China

To honor this special occasion and butter up to the Chinese market, the limited-edition Phantoms are ready, covered in images of the country’s most revered mythical creature. A one-off development to mark the upcoming Year of the Dragon, Rolls-Royce released this bespoke program at the Guangzhou Auto Show back in November. With around a month to go before the Chinese New Year, the British carmaker has released a set of interior and exterior shots of their exclusive special-edition model, which includes a twin coach-line with a hand-painted gold dragon on the side of each of the eight models to be manufactured.
Inspired by the Forbidden City in Beijing, the interior has plenty of dragon references, including a hand-embroidered depiction of a dragon on the headrests, a dragon inlay on the passenger panel, and an LED-illuminated treadplate bearing 'Year of the Dragon 2012' on the door sills. The interior panels bear the Phantom model name in gold and rear passengers get two hand-stitched cushions with embroidered double R-R logos and piping. There's no indication of price but given this is for the Chinese market expect a figure ending in many zeros.
