Fantastic Ferrari 599 GTO by Romeo Ferraris

Romeo Ferraris has just released a two-step tuning program for the Ferrari 599 GTO.
Milan tuning house Romeo Ferraris has unveiled their two-step tuning program for the Ferrari 599 GTO. The Ferrari F12berlinetta precursor is powered by one of the Italian automaker's famed V12 powerplants and is a model which, of its own accord, is quite stunning. The Ferrari 599 GTO's V12 produces at stock a solid 670hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. The first stage of the Romeo Ferraris aftermarket program consists of the addition of a new sports air filter and exhaust.
These two changes add 15hp and 10 lb-ft of torque. The second stage of the Italian's tuning program focuses on a revamping of the Ferrari's ECU and a high-performance exhaust system. With these changes, the 599 GTO cranks out a serious added 40hp and 35 lb-ft of torque for totals of 710hp and 492 lb-ft of torque. In addition to the added power, Romeo Ferraris has added carbon fiber mirrors, front spoiler and rear diffuser to the Italian supercar. No pricing information or performance specs have been released as of yet for the Romeo Ferraris Ferrari 599 GTO.

Rendering: Ferrari California GT Race Car

The baby in the pack has been conceived as a racing car, and it looks just about ready to rip. Often cited as Ferrari's entry-level model, the Ferrari California was never built for racing in part due to its rather weighty folding hardtop roof. The competition-spec 458 Challenge also already does a great job at taking to the track, so there's really no need for another factory-spec race car. With this in mind or perhaps for other reasons entirely, Spanish product designer Arturo Arino has digitally rendered his interpretation of a California GT race car.
Sporting a competition paint job, plenty of requisite carbon-fiber components, wide five-spoke alloys, huge Brembo brakes and some additional air intakes, the exterior is right on the money.Letting him down is the luxury road-going interior, featuring the buttery leather 2+2 layout. A racing interior would have been something to think about.

2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Novitec Rosso is a Supercar Supermodel

Few things in life are better than gazing at the gorgeous 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Novitec Rosso.
Last year's Geneva Motor Show saw the 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia Novitec Rosso arrive with 609hp (vs. the standard's 562hp) and 420 lb-ft of torque (vs. 398 lb-ft). The powerful Prancing Horse was lighter than its stock variant as well and features some looks to die for.Novitec Rosso's 2012 edition of the Ferrari 458 Italia is equally incredible, with lighter wheels, tweaked suspension and raised redline. Brembo carbon ceramic brakes help control the powerful Italian supercar. Check it out below.

A 1929 Cord L-29 Special Coupe by The Hayes Body Corporation was biggest hit at the annual Amelia Island Weekend auction, which was held on March 10th and 11th. The rare American car aroused great interest among bidders in the crowd and bidders by phone and online. It was soon sold for $2,420,000 - the highest price of the weekend. This Cord also happens to be a one-off design statement by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, and is recognized as the most significant L-29 in existence.
It is an outstanding example of Classic Era styling and there was applause from the crowd when it was finally sold. The L-29 has a 125hp, 298.6 CID L-head inline eight-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive, three-speed selective sliding-gear manual transmission, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.A 240hp, 2,953 cc V-12 engine 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Coupe Speciale came in second place after it was sold for $1,430,000, in middle of its valuation range. Only four examples of this Pininfarina Berlinetta coachwork were produced.

The engine is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension with unequal-length A-arms and coil springs, live rear axle with parallel trailing arms and semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. This car also has a tradition of winning a few awards in famous Concours events. 2013 Ferrari California Lighter, More Powerful and Debuting at Geneva

Refreshed California has shed some weight and gained more power, while special handling package comes as a new option.
Production has already commenced of the updated California with first deliveries scheduled for Europe, and with a 30kg drop in weight married to a 30hp boost in power, the mid-cycle refresh is certain to keep its trusted followers content. The hardtop convertible's GDI 4.3-liter V8 now delivers 490hp and 372lb-ft of torque thanks to new exhaust manifolds and an ECU tweak and is housed in a 30kg lighter aluminum-intensive chassis, which performs just as well and is just as structurally rigid as last year's model.
As a consequence of these power enhancements and new chassis, manufactured using "cutting-edge aluminium fabrication techniques and construction technologies used by the Scaglietti Centre of Excellence," performance has improved and its 0-62 mph time has reduced to 3.8 seconds. Also new is an optional 'Handling Speciale' package, which encompasses suspension modifications to minimize body roll and improve responsiveness. The package includes superfast Magnetorheological dampers (also found on the 599 GTB), stiffer springs, a faster turn-in with smaller steering wheel angles and 10 percent quicker steering ratio. With the 2013 California, customers get a more extensive choice of colors including two-tone finishes as showcased by the Geneva model, and modern reinterpretations of classic color schemes to ensure their already exclusive supercar commands even more respect on the road. Matte Pink Ferrari 458 Italia Molests My Eyes

This candy-colored Ferrari is proof that money can’t buy you taste but it can fund stupidity.
Spotted in Dubai by Youtube member LamboFanX, this is the latest sweet-sounding supercar to have befallen the unfortunate fate of being coated in a shocking shade of pink.
A pink Bentley Continental GT was painted for charity while Nicki 'Barbie' Minaj took ownership of another. Then there was the pink Camaro that raced in two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and we even had a pink Pagani Zonda C12 Roadster. But this must surely take the biscuit for most beautiful car ruined by its paintjob. Doubtless years were spent beautifying the stunning Ferrari 458 Italia, yet it took one tasteless fool just a couple of hours to make it look ugly.

First Live Shots of Ferrari F12berlinetta - Plus Three New Videos

Ferrari has revealed three new videos of their flagship coupe, while live shots of the car have also surfaced online.
Live shots of the brand new Ferrari F12berlinetta have just been revealed via Teamspeed, taken at the Maranello factory where the supercar was being shown to Ferrari employees.
Given the car has already been officially unveiled the Italian supercar giant probably won't be overly concerned with these live shots being leaked. That said, if the person responsible is caught they'll be told to clear their desk quicker than the 720hp 6.3-liter V12 beast can shoot from 0-62mph (3.1 seconds in case you'd forgotten).
All the media attention the F12berlinetta gets is undoubtedly welcome, and to keep the momentum going Ferrari has released three new promotional videos. The most interesting of the trio focuses on the coupe's V12 sound, while the others regard the styling and chassis construction.

Ferrari F620 GT Teased Again - Wild Speed Offers Rendering

Set to replace the 599 GTB Fiorano, the hype is building over Ferrari’s most powerful ever supercar.
Just a couple of days after Ferrari released the first teaser of the 599 successor, the supercar maker has put out another video to give fans a glimpse of the 620 GT in bare metal. We were previously informed that the F152 (internal codename) would be "the most powerful Ferrari ever," with reports suggesting it would house a 6.3-liter V12 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and producing up to 740hp, which would usher in a "new era of extreme V12 cars."
Now the message is that "technological innovations will reach new heights," and the video also drops a gentle reminder that the 620 GT's media launch will take place on 29 February.
Meanwhile, serial car rendering expert Wild Speed has released a typically high-quality rendering based on the initial teaser, which will have to sate Ferrari-lovers appetite until the big unveiling in Geneva in a few days' time.

Pininfarina Family to Lose Control of the Design Studio

In a debt restructuring deal, banks will become the major shareholders in company. Ferrari shouldn’t be worried
For the last few years the fate of Pininfarina, the famous Italian car design house has been hanging in the balance. The company, which is famous for its longtime collaboration with Ferrari, has fallen into debt.In 2008 this debt was restructured, but now the banks are expected to take control of the firm from the Pininfarina family who still holds 77 percent of the company's shares.
Sadly, the last influential Pininfarina scion that stood a chance saving the company, Andrea Pininfarina, died in a road accident almost four years ago while riding his scooter on the way to work.
In 2008 the firm was in debt by $234 million. This was later swapped by the banks in exchange for refinancing on the promise that proceeds from its future sale would go to the banks. However, so far no one has shown interest in buying the company. Currently they're negotiating with the banks to restructure a $100 million debt and when the negotiations are completed, the family's 77 percent stake in the company will be transferred to creditors.
Pininfarina was founded as Pinin Farina in 1930 and became the most famous Italian design house through its cooperation with Ferrari on most of the Modena's firm cars. It was also famous for designing Peugeot cars. We'll be sure to bring you any future updates regarding the fate of this legendary name and studio.
