It's been a terrible year for Saab which ended with the worst possible scenario as after more than six decades of building cars with bespoke designs (or at least for the most part) and some quirky features, the Swedish company filed for bankruptcy on December 20.
Understandably, it's still too early to know what will happen next to the company and its assets, but even though in theory a new party could step in during the bankruptcy process and save the company, the chances for this happening are extremely slim.
What we would like to ask both current owners and fans of Saab, as well readers with no affiliation to the Swedish automaker, is in the likely event that bankruptcy turns out to be the last nail on the company's coffin, which brand do you think that Saab loyalists will turn to next.
We've put together a large list of both mainstream and premium brand names, some of which, like Alfa Romeo and Skoda are not offered in North America but are available in other markets outside Europe such as Australia, from which you can choose from.
