Fiat’s next model to make its way to the States will come in the form of a subcompact crossover, called the Ellezero.
The Fiat Ellezero subcompact crossover is the latest in the line of automobiles being brought over to the U.S. by the Italian automaker. The Ellezero will be making its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March and will shortly follow its appearance with a launch in Europe. According to a report by InsideLine, the crossover will make its way into American dealerships by 2013.The Ellezero will be powered by the same motor that currently sits in the Fiat 500, a 1.4-liter gasoline unit. InsideLine also reports that the Ellezero is to be built in Serbia and will sit on Fiat's Small U.S. Wide (SUSW) platform, the same foundation that reportedly will serve as the base for a new Jeep crossover.
