Audi isn't holding back in the development of some of their most popular models in the coming years.
This has been in the works for some time and now it's almost here, as Audi is promising that 2012 will be a big year for them. Why exactly? The German automaker plans on launching some important new models that will help carry them through for the rest of the decade. The next-generation A3 hatch and all-new sedan that will debut some fresh exterior brand styling will be making their way to market in the next few months. In addition, we'll also be seeing the Allroad Quattro version of the new A6 Avant along with the electric R8-based E-tron. But the biggest news will likely be the facelifted R8 supercar.
We know that Audi plans on giving the car an exterior nip/tuck, more power, and a seven-speed dual-clutch later this coming year. For those looking ahead even further, we'll likely see an all-new R8 have its debut in 2014. The 2014 R8 will probably have a new engine and increased power. All of these projects are so important for Audi that they will be investing some 13 billion Euros into them, along with new technology and increased production all the way through 2016.
