Our always watchful spy photographers have just scooped these latest photos showing a pair of Mercedes-Benz A-Class prototypes out testing. The cammo is now being removed even more these days and with these two test mules we can now see a better view of the front-end design. We also have a glimpse of the interior, which appears to be very similar to that of the B-Class. Power will likely come from a range of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines.
These should include two 1.6-liter gasoline engines (122 and 156hp, respectively) and two turbo diesel variants (111 and 135hp). In addition, the automaker is planning a more powerful sports version with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four under the hood. And on lighter note, it's funny that Mercedes chose to use red and white prototypes during the holiday season. Expect the new A-Class to be fully revealed by the end of 2012.
