American muscle cars will be testing themselves next year against Europe’s elite.
German-based YACO Racing has partnered with SaReni United and Reiter Engineering to develop a pair of Camaro GT3 race cars for the German ADAC GT Masters series and the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2012.This will be the first time the legendary US sports car will take part in GT3 racing. In preparation for the cars' racing debuts, they spent a couple of days undertaking some extensive pre-season testing at Italy's Adria circuit. Technical specs of the V8-powered Camaros will be published at a later date. Interestingly, another team, Fastforward Motorsport from Belgium, is also preparing a 6.2-liter V8 Camaro GT3 capable of 580hp, which can be seen on the attached video link being tested at Circuit Zolder in Belgium.
